Como contábamos aquí, Taylor Swift escribía recientemente una carta abierta y, de paso, compartía cómo sonaba en directo la canción 'Cruel Summer' en su, hasta ahora, último concierto de la gira añadiendo también un REMIX especial.

Esta canción experimentaba además una gran popularidad viral y resurgía en varias listas, incluyendo un reingreso al top 50 en el Billboard Hot 100. Pero, ahora, se confirma que ha conseguido el #1 en esa lista norteamericana.

El original llegó al #3 en su lanzamiento y, ahora, es #1

Desde Billboard destacan cómo Taylor Swift se une al club de élite de artistas con 10 o más números 1 en la lista Billboard Hot 100 de canciones, mientras 'Cruel Summer' asciende a la cima convirtiéndose en su décimo liderazgo. La canción anteriormente alcanzaba el puesto número 3 cuando era estrenada originalmente en el álbum 'Lover'.

Como indicamos, este liderazgo de ahora, 2023, se consigue cuando se ha lanzado la nueva mezcla durante la última semana y su repercusión con el lanzamiento el 13 de octubre de la película del concierto Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.

'Cruel Summer' (en vivo y remix)

Días atrás, Taylor hablaba de cómo su canción ha vuelto a ser importante para tanta gente siendo especialmente clave en la película recién estrenada:

"Qué cosa realmente alucinante en la que has convertido la película de concierto de The Eras Tour. He estado viendo vídeos de ustedes en los cines bailando y pavoneando y recreando coreografía, creando chistes internos, lanzando hechizos, comprometiéndose, y en general creando el tipo exacto de caos alegre por el que somos conocidos. Una de mis cosas favoritas que has hecho fue cuando apoyaste a Cruel Summer TANTO, terminé empezando el show de The Eras Tour con él. Por los viejos tiempos, voy a lanzar el audio en vivo de la gira para que todos podamos chillarlo en la comodidad de nuestros hogares y coches MÁS un nuevo remix de LP Giobbi ¡¡¡Muchas gracias, por siempre, guau, simplemente gracias!!!"

Recordemos que 'Cruel Summer' es parte de su séptimo álbum de estudio, 'Lover' lanzado en verano de 2019. Swift escribió y produjo la canción con los músicos estadounidenses St. Vincent y Jack Antonoff para hablar de un romance de verano en circunstancias intensas y dolorosas.
