El nuevo temazo de Doja Cat, 'Attention', más reivindicativo que nunca: "Ahora cosecho los beneficios..."

Además de dejarnos en con la miel durante un año mientras esperábamos conocer un poco más sobre el trabajo de Doja Cat, también nos dio algunas pistas sobre lo que estaba por venir e incluso inició unacuenta atrás que ya ha llegado a su fin. Hasta que finalmente publicó una imagen de una letra "A" invertida escrita con sangre, dando contexto a los emoticonos -de gotas de sangre- que habíamos visto anteriormente en su perfil de Twitter donde había vampiros, monstruos, sangre y mucha tinta en su cuerpo en forma de tatuajes.
Este 16 de junio ha empezado una nueva etapa musical en la carrera de la californiana, después de que haya estado parada medio año por su operación en la garganta.
Durante la mayor parte del videoclip, Doja Cat pasea por la calle sin que le afecten en absoluto las personas que la rodean, incluso cuando parece que intentan tener una pelea. La letra describe una necesidad de atención más que de amor, y transmite una sensación de seguridad en sí misma. "Pagué todos mis respetos a los que me enseñaron a hacerlo", rapea Doja. "Y ahora cosecho los beneficios sin confrontación". Más adelante en la canción, señala que la gente trata de humillarla mencionando a Nicki Minaj, diciendo: "¿Por qué cree que es Nicki M? Se cree que es una mierda". Doja desestima las críticas y piropea a la líder de las Barbz.
