Y, en esta ocasión, añaden un buen momento musical que hace recordar cómo, Grace Chatto y los hermanos Jack y Luke Patterson (Clean Bandit), siguen reforzándose con colaboraciones como realizaban tras aquel primer éxito con 'Rather Be', junto a Jess Glynne de 2014 y con muchos otros incluidos 'Rockabye' con Sean Paul y Anne-Marie, 'Symphony' con Zara Larsson y 'Solo' con Demi Lovato que, dicho sea de paso, sumaron a aquel disco de 2018 'What Is Love?' que también contenía colaboraciones con Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, Big Boi de Outkast, Craig David y muchos más.
Repletos de ritmo electrónico y toques africanos de total actualidad, están de vuelta. Recordemos que muy recientemente Selena Gomez se apuntaba a los ritmos afrobeat del nigeriano Rema para su 'Calm Down' como ahora hace Clean Bandit sumando al también británico French the Kid.
Clean Bandit ha contaco que conocierto a French The Kid el año pasado "Después de enamorarnos de su canción Thrill, y nos sentimos honrados de que grabara un verso para nuestro remix de Drive. Después de eso, vino a nuestro estudio e hicimos dos canciones desde cero, una de ellas es Sad Girls". Y, de Rema, aseguran que es uno de sus músicos favoritos del panorama internacional y que "Durante una escala reciente de 24 horas en Londres, pasó una noche con nosotros en el estudio. Escribió su verso para Sad Girls alrededor de las cinco de la mañana. Estábamos muy cansados pero él estaba totalmente enérgico, y presenciar su proceso creativo fue una de las mejores experiencias que hemos tenido en la historia de la banda".
